Aseel graduated from the Fine Art Institute at the Baghdad Theatre in 1996, participating in plays and television productions. Aseel, came on to the production of Ahlaam a few weeks after filming had already began. The part of Ahlaam was one of controversy among Arab women. Aseel a young mother of one, agreed to play the part under the condition that while on set her young son would be looked after. Ahlaam is Aseels’ debut feature film. Up to Press Aseel continues to reside in Baghdad with great courage. |
Bashir a Freelance Reporter from Iraq, was a political prisoner for 12 years in the time of Saddams' regime, after he was forced to give him self up after the regime threatened to kill his family. “There is a bond between Ali and me as we have had very similar life experiences.” Ahlaam is Bashirs’ first feature film and he has since began teaching at a film school in Baghdad. |
Mohamed graduated from the Fine Art Institute/Theatre in Baghdad as an Actor in 1992. Mohamed participated in many Theatre Plays and Televison Dramas. Ahlaam is his first Independent feature film and he is still working in Baghdad as an actor. |
